Improvement of Pinoys more than a grand rally

The meteoric rise of our country in terms of Filipinos’ living standards should not be manifested by only orchestrating a grand rally, wherein pompous concerts and lively fanfare are held — it should be felt and enjoyed by millions, with improvement in their well-being in different aspects.
The Marcos administration on Sunday has organized a “ Bagong Pilipinas” kick-off rally event at the Quirino Grandstand, wherein it took pride on its achievements since Bongbong Marcos’ ascendance as he won the presidential elections. The said rally features booths from government offices, and numerous performances with the likes of Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola, among others, as special guests.
More than a hundred-thousand people, especially Marcos supporters flocked the stadium to witness the said event.
In his speech, President Ferdinand Marcos Jnr said that laziness should not be exercised and in that he also emphasized honesty and accountability among government workers. He also stressed that change starts from the Government itself.
In a statement, Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte says that her agency, together with the government counterparts, is one with the administration “towards the New Philippines.” Aside from her stint in Marcos-headlined rally event, she also attended a “prayer rally” in Davao City, aiming to prevent the “impending” charter change being lobbied by the Congress.
As the Marcos administration lead the Filipino people towards a new society, they must be, first, the epitome of change and accountability by spending taxpayers’ money on causes that will improve quality of life, and not on the excess. Just recently, Bongbong Marcos was seen together with his family at a Coldplay concert in Bulacan, and got there using the presidential chopper. In a press conference, Marcos said the concert was “unmissable.”
Furthermore, the improvement should not end on giving gift packs and job fairs to offer employment as it just blankets underlying problems every Filipino is facing.
Lastly, each public servant in the Government should set aside their rage and hidden agenda. Instead, they must prioritize the welfare of Filipinos.
The true “Bagong Pilipinas” that the Marcos administration is boasting will be realized if there will be improvement in the government services as well as in the status quo of the marginalized and the middle-class.
